In the same context, the Environmental Impact Assessment Act (Act No. 6 of 2005) (Cap. 65:07) determine the modalities of protection, conservation and promotion of environment in Botswana. There are other laws on mineral, water, pollution land management that are useful among others that are used to protect the environment. The Department of Environmental Affairs of Botswana (DEAB) is mandated to produce a national state of the environment report every two years to inform the environment decision making process in the country and provide environmental information to the public.
This portal aims to strengthen air quality monitoring and management outcomes in air quality management in Africa through enhancing and supporting a community of practice in collaboration with the Center for Environment and Development for the Arab Region and Europe (CEDARE) complemented by networks in Kenya, South Africa and Ethiopia: Kenya Air Quality Network (KAQN) and South Africa National Clean Air Association (NACA) together with Regional networks, ANGA.
