                       CASE EXAMPLE

                       Among the key Drivers (i.e., indirect drivers) of these pressures is population growth, urban

                       Pressure:  (i.e.,  direct  drivers): Total  nitrogen,  phosphorous, and  (TCP)  concentrations  in
                       Tubli Bay arise primarly from point souces waste water outfall frome sewage treatment
                       plants that discharches secondary and primary efluent to the bay. Landfills and continued
                       encroachment into the mudflat and mangrove areas primarily by industry and informal waste
                       disposal. Coastal development, including dredging and reclamination, as a response to the fast

                       urbanization and development. The five sandwash plants that operate in the southern part
                       of tubli bay, with their muddy water discharge points into the bay. Finally agricultural drinage
                       water from agricultural farms around the bay (Abahussain and Alsabbagh, 2009)..
