                       expected health effect beside the cost of alternative freshwater source, land degradation and
                       reduced income from crops, reduced properties/farms value, loss of the recreational value of
                       water and eco-tourism etc are some of the impacts of the deterioration of water resources
                       in Al Batinah Region northern Oman.
